RCIA Webinars and Handouts

RCIA Training and Study Days

The Archdiocese offers training and study days for Parish RCIA Leaders and RCIA Formation Teams. For an introductory formation for novices, see RCIA Basic Training Session 1 and Session 2 below.

For those Parish Pastoral Leaders who are unfamiliar with the Children’s Catechumenate, please refer to Children’s Catechumenate Training Video 1, 2, and 3 with corresponding handouts below.

Each December and June, the Archdiocese offers additional RCIA training to help keep formation teams updated with the norms and practices of the rite.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the official ritual text of the Church which directs, supports and sustains the way of faith and conversion by which adults (and children who have reached the age of reason) are initiated into the Catholic Church.


Children’s Catechumenate (RCIA Adapted for Children)

For those Parish Pastoral Leaders who are unfamiliar with the Children’s Catechumenate, please view videos on the Children’s Catechumenate below and read RCIA 252–259 as well as the National Statutes for the Catechumenate 18–21, which are also in the RCIA Ritual Book.
