Veronica’s Journey continues, funds raised to benefit Catholic Charities, Guadalupe Community Center
In loving memory of Veronica Nicole Finnie, the Third Annual Veronica’s Journey 5k was held September 25 at South Side Lions Park East to benefit the Veronica N. Finnie Endowment of Catholic Charities and Veronica’s Boutique at the Guadalupe Community Center.
The daughter of Dr. Mitch and Chrissy Finnie, Veronica was diagnosed at 13 months with Ependymoma, or brain cancer. Though she valiantly fought the tumor for 11 months, she would not survive the battle and went to be with the lord on August 24, 2017.
The 5k is held in her memory and for all children who battle cancer.
