UIW Presents 12th Annual Red Dress Fashion Show & Health Fair

The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) is presenting the 12th Annual Red Dress Fashion Show & Health Fair, Tuesday, Feb. 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in UIW’s Marian Hall Ballroom.

This annual event promotes cardiac health in women and features one-of-a-kind designs by UIW fashion students. This year’s event has over 20 health and lifestyle vendors offering a variety of special activities and exhibits. Students from UIW’s professional programs will be on hand to check blood pressures, glucose levels, provide visions screenings and offer information on the importance of maintaining a heart healthy lifestyle.

Zelime Matthews jewelry, Scentsy, Jamberry Nails, Women’s Global Connection and the UIW Bookstore are just a few of the 2015 vendors. Scarves hand-dyed by UIW fashion students and faculty will be sold to benefit the event. Scarves start at $20.

The annual Red Dress Event is held each year in support of the American Heart Association and their Go Red campaign during February which is National Heart Month. The event is free and open to the public. For more information visit www.uiw.edu
