Three priests incardinated into archdiocese

Three priests were incardinated into the presbyterate of the Archdiocese of San Antonio in a ceremony held during Clergy Day on Sept. 24 at St. Pius X Church. Taking part in the event were, from left: Father Jim Fischler, CICM, pastor of St. Louis Church in Castroville and director of the archdiocesan Office for Clergy and Consecrated Life; Father Juan Molina, associate pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Helotes; Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller, MSpS; Father Jaime Paniagua, administrator of St. Joseph Church in Del Rio; and Father Juan Carlos Bello-Carrillo, pastor of St. Benedict Church in San Antonio.

In addition to that ceremony, attendees to Clergy Day heard announcements regarding the Office Catholic Directory, the Institute for Lay Ecclesial Ministry and Service, the archdiocesan capital campaign, and Catholic Charities. Gloria Zapiain, director of the Secretariat for Evangelization, Catechesis and Faith Formation Ministry and Ministry with Special Needs for Catechesis, gave the keynote presentation on “Role of the Priest in RCIA.”
