Thanking God and praying for those in need

“United in Times of Sorrow and Uncertainty” was the fitting title for the 29th Annual Thanksgiving Interfaith Service, held November 24 at San Fernando Cathedral.

The invocation and benediction at the gathering were given by Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller, MSpS. Other presenters for event were Father Victor Valdez, rector of San Fernando Cathedral; Rolando Guerra of Haven for Hope; Michael Passmore of Central Christian Church; Reverend Sylvia Vasquez of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church; Patricia Castillo of the P.E.A.C.E. Initiative; Erwin DeLuna of the United San Antonio Pow Wow; and San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg.

The service was livestreaming on archdiocesan social media outlets.
