OLLU unveils 2015 Fiesta® Medal

Event unveils seventh Fiesta® medal begins official ‘Best of the West’ countdown

Our Lady of the Lake University President Sister Jane Ann Slater, along with invited special guests, unveiled the university’s 2015 Fiesta® Medal on Feb. 26 in front of Moye Hall.

Jorge Nunez from Univision served as master of ceremonies to help unveil OLLU’s seventh Fiesta® medal. OLLU’s 2014 medal won first place in the Education category of the first-ever San Antonio Express-News Fiesta® Medal Contest. There were 140 entries to contest and 34 winners in 13 categories. The medal was designed by OLLU Brand Manager Cathy Maule.

Special invited guests included Fiesta® San Antonio Commission Interim Chief Eecutive Officer Phil Nelson, and Director of Communications and Consumer Marketing Shannon Houghtaling.

The medal will be available for $6 in the Alumni Office on campus. It will also be available for $8 at the Fiesta® store.

This is the fourth consecutive year that OLLU will host, “Best of the West,” an official Fiesta® event. The event will take place Saturday, April 11, from 4-11 p.m. on campus. For more information, visit www.ollusa.edu/Fiesta.
