Introducing Hope for the Future Board Chair

Dr. Alma L Garza is a dentist and owner of a private dental practice for nearly 30 years. She attended El Centro College in Dallas and received an associate degree in Nursing, the University of Texas at Austin receiving a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Baylor College of Dentistry, where she earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

She is a member of Our Lady of Grace Church, serving on the Pastoral Council and is an active member of Women’s ACTS.

Dr. Garza is married to Attorney Frank J. Garza (St. Gerard ‘79). They have four children: daughter Antoinette (attended Bishop Lynch and St. Gerard); son in law, Joseph Martinez (Bishop Lynch); and two grandchildren, Alivia and Jojo; son Frankie (Antonian ‘13); daughter Elissa (Antonian ’14); and son Nicholas (Antonian ‘19).

During her years as a dentist, she has been involved and is active in organized dentistry, and many other community organizations, including Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre, Guadalupe Home and Hope for the Future.

She is passionate in supporting Catholic schools for their faith formation, quality education and values that they instill in the children of the future.
