COVID vaccines getting into the community

Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller, MSpS, received his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine January 14 at an inoculation event administered by CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System. Bishop Emeritus Michael Pfeifer, OMI, of the Diocese of San Angelo also received the vaccine, as well as many Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. CHRISTUS is working with the archdiocese and Father Jim Fischler, CICM, director of the Office of Clergy; and Sister Elizabeth Ann Vasquez, SSCJ, director of the Office of Consecrated Life; to obtain COVID vaccines for all priests and religious in the archdiocese.
