CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – New Braunfels welcomes baby born on memorable day: 12-13-14!

Family, friends, physicians, and associates at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – New Braunfels rejoice for each newborn that comes into the world. It is especially memorable when that birth falls on a day few will forget—12-13-14!

Mason McCain was the first baby born at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital — New Braunfels today at 9:47 AM. Parents Rachel Novak and Carson McCain welcomed their baby boy into their family.  He weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20 inches long.

12-13-14 is a numerical sequence that comes around once a century, and is a date that will easily be remembered by family and friends for little Mason’s future birthday parties.

His family has several unique birthdays to celebrate. Big brother, Benjamin, was born on 08-08-08.

“We love that we get to celebrate uniqueness as a family,” said dad.

“Our family is eager to return home and get to know our newest addition,” said mom.

“I am pleased to join the rest of the CHRISTUS family in welcoming Mason into the world, and honored that CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital — New Braunfels played such a key role in this new beginning,” said Jim Wesson, president and administrator of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital — New Braunfels.

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System has three hospital Labor and Delivery Units – Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, New Braunfels, and Westover Hills.  The first baby born in each hospital that day received a special gift basket.
