Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of San Antonio, will celebrate those who donated to 40 Cans for Lent Food Drive

A 40 Cans for Lent Food Drive celebration will take place at the Guadalupe Community Center at 1801 West Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard on Saturday, April 4, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All are invited.

Catholic Charities will be celebrating the end of the 40 Cans for Lent Food Drive, an effort to fight hunger and raise awareness of food insecurity in our community. This is a chance for Catholic Charities to say thank you to the volunteers and over 70 parishes, schools, and local business partners who collected food over the past six weeks in celebration of Lent and in solidarity with those who may not know where their next meal may come from.

The event features complimentary food, music and giveaways, including free admission to the San Antonio Aquarium. The event will also feature a live radio appearance by Cesar K. Oso and “La Ley 95.7” and free income tax processing will be available in collaboration with Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Coalition San Antonio.
