National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It starts the last Sunday in January and runs all week, which in 2015 is Jan. 25-31. Schools typically observe National Catholic Schools Week with Masses, open houses and other activities for students, families, parishioners and community members. Through these events, schools focus on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church, our communities and our nation.

Oblate School of Theology establishes Vance Chair of Systematic Theology

Oblate School of Theology (OST) has established the Louis G. Vance Chair of Systematic Theology and appointed Father Ken Hannon, OMI, PhD, as the first faculty member to hold this professorship. Father Hannon will deliver the inaugural lecture of the Louis G. Vance Memorial Lecture Series in the fall of 2015.
