With schools dismissing for summer break and we begin to consider summer vacation, I would like to introduce you to one of our important programs for school-aged children. Catholic Charities’ After School and Summer Youth Program provides parents with a safe place to send their children after school and during the summer. We are proud and blessed to provide participating children with transportation from school, hot and healthy meals, homework/tutoring assistance, outdoor recreation, physical fitness, arts and crafts, community gardening and nutrition skills, positive peer and adult relationships at absolutely no cost to the family. We are the only program of this kind to offer so many complementary services and I believe this is what makes this program both unique and crucial to our community.
