Assumption Seminary Associates assist seminarians

Assumption Seminary Associates assembled 62 back-to-school baskets for the seminarians on Aug. 30. Founded 40 years ago, the group provides spiritual and financial support and encouragement to the young men dedicated to fulfilling their call to the priesthood at Assumption Seminary. It was the group’s third year for the gift basket project and the first time donation bins were placed at Blessed Sacrament, Church of the Holy Spirit, Holy Trinity, St. John Neumann and Our Lady of Perpetual Help-Selma parishes. The baskets are filled with toiletries, laundry and school supplies, snacks and gift cards. From left are Melanie Castillo, Helen Villarreal, Elaine Cabral, Barbara Hintze and Laura Barrera-Barker.
