Archdiocese to provide update on coordinated relief efforts for Hurricane Harvey

Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller, MSpS, will provide an update concerning a coordinated relief effort on the part of the Archdiocese of San Antonio regarding Hurricane Harvey at a press conference on Thursday, Aug. 31, at 4 p.m., at the Catholic Charities headquarters at 202 West French Place. Also speaking at the event will be Catholic Charities President/CEO J. Antonio Fernández and Superintendent of Catholic Schools Marti West. In addition to the press conference, Catholic Charities employees and volunteers will be loading trucks that evening filled with supplies to be transported to the Corpus Christi area on Friday. An overview of the initiatives undertaken by the archdiocese regarding aid already provided will be given as well.
