2016 Khaki & Plaid Gala Homecoming Court Announced

Today,Ā Hope for the Future announced the 2016 Khaki & Plaid Homecoming Court as part of the 7th Annual Khaki & Plaid Gala. The Homecoming – Red Carpet Reunion themed gala will feature a Homecoming Court comprised of 10 (five male and five female) business and civic leaders. Homecoming Court nominees are tasked with helping to raise funds and awareness for Catholic school education. The pair that raises the most funds will be crowned the King and Queen at the Hope for the Future Khaki & Plaid Gala Homecoming 2016 | Red Carpet Reunion Saturday, January 23, 2016 which will take place in the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, Ballroom C. Proceeds from the Homecoming Court and the Khaki & Plaid Gala are distributed in the form of tuition assistance to economically disadvantaged families to attend a Catholic school of their choice in the Archdiocese of San Antonio.

The Homecoming Court individuals were nominated from their peers in recognition of their support of the Catholic school community. Each dollar raisedĀ is considered one āVOTEā and the final tally will be taken the night of the Khaki & Plaid Gala. This yearās Executive Chairs are Bruce and Cindy Vaio along with Honorary Chairs, Clarence and Tina Kahlig.

The Archdiocese of San Antonio created Hope for the Future (HOPE) in December 2006. HOPE receives donations from many generous contributors, and annually helps financially stressed families and children by providing them tuition assistance. For the 2015-16 school year HOPE is providing approximately $2.5 million in tuition assistance to families in need. HOPE received over 3,000 applications from families in the Archdiocese of San Antonio requesting tuition assistance for the current school year.
