15th Annual Run with a Mission 5K empowers Catholic education in archdiocese

The Run with a Mission 5K was a community event to promote Catholic schools while exercising body and soul was held October 24 at Mission County Park.

The morning began with a Mass at 7 a.m. celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Gary Janak and Auxiliary Bishop Michael Boulette. The walk/run followed at 8 a.m.

Funds raised through the 5K go directly back to the participating Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of San Antonio. More than 1,000 participants attended the event that Sunday morning.

The event fosters pride in Catholic schools, with schools winning prizes for most registrations, most spirit, best video, and more. In addition to the 5K which took place on October 24, a virtual 5K was held October 10 through October 24.
