$1 million raised for Texas Catholic schools in 2020 ‘Catholic Schools Sweepstakes’

Catholic Life Insurance helped 57 Texas Catholic Schools sell over 200,000 tickets to raise over $1 million during the 13th annual “Catholic Schools Sweepstakes.”

Grand prize winners Casey and Kathleen Blake purchased their winning ticket from a student at St. Joseph Catholic School in Waxahachie. They have the choice of a 2020 Ford F-150 truck, a 2020 Ford Focus Sedan, or a $20,000 Pre-Paid VISA Credit Card.

Twenty-eight San Antonio area Catholic schools participated. St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School ranked first among tickets in sales. Their ticket sales reached $65,000.

Additionally, each participating school had a $1,000 Pre-Paid VISA Credit Card winner. Go to the website at www.cliu.com to see a complete list of winners.

The Catholic Life Insurance Sweepstakes started in 2007 and has helped Catholic schools raise a total of $10 million, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the schools. San Antonio-based Catholic Life Insurance provides all the prizes, marketing material and printing. The schools can use the funds that were raised how they wish, including the purchase of computer equipment, textbooks, necessary school repairs, and tuition assistance.

Catholic Life Insurance would like to thank everyone who participated in the Catholic School Sweepstakes.
