What schools are eligible?

All thirty-six Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of San Antonio.

What grade levels are eligible? 

Students in grades K-5 – 12 (K-3 and K-4 are not eligible).

Who should submit the application?

The parent or legal guardian who claims the child on their taxes should be the primary applicant. Any other adult who provides any support should be co-applicant.

 Who can apply for Hope for the Future tuition assistance?

All families with K-12 students interested in attending a Catholic school are eligible to apply. Students in Pre-K DO NOT qualify for tuition assistance.

Do I have to be Catholic to apply?
No.


What is the dollar amount that a student may receive from Hope for the Future?

Elementary education: from $500 to $1500 per student, based on a comprehensive financial analysis. Secondary education: from $500 to $2000 per student, based on a comprehensive financial analysis.

Tuition assistance is awarded to familiesĀ based on their FACTS application analysis. The average applicant makes approx. $48,000.

Will Hope for the Future tuition assistance be given for one year or for multiple years?

Tuition assistance is given for ONE year. You MUST re-apply each year.

Where do I apply?

You can apply at https://online.factsmgt.com/aid (you will be re-directed to the FACTS Management website) or you can go directly to www.factsmgt.com.

Can I submit a paper application?

No, all applications must be submitted online.


How much is the application fee?

$40 per family. The fee goes directly to FACTS Management to cover the cost of the tuition assistance application software. Hope for the Future does NOT benefit from the application fee. FACTS processes more than 4,000 applications for Hope for the Future per year.

What do I need to submit with my application?

You will need to upload copies of your most recent tax documents and your 2022 W-2.

 Can I still apply if I do not file taxes?

Yes, you can still apply. However, you will need to contact the Hope for the Future office at 210-734-1963 for clarification on your financial situation.

What happens after I submit my application?

The tuition assistance committee will review and process applications for award consideration. You will be notified via email on a decision.


Do I have to provide my income information? 

Yes. a complete application must contain verification of income. Even if you do not file a Federal Income Tax Return, you will be required to submit verification of income.


What if I do not complete my application?

ONLY completed applications will be considered. 


If awarded, can my school of choice accept the award? 

No. Parents MUST log into their FACTS account and accept their own award. Schools may not complete this step for them.
