About the Presenter: Msgr. Michael Boulette was appointed by Pope Francis as Auxiliary Bishop of San Antonio at the beginning of 2017. Prior to his episcopal appointment, Bishop Mike served as a pastor for two-and-a-half decades at Notre Dame Church in Kerrville. He is also the founder and director of St. Peter Upon the Water, a center for spiritual direction and formation in Ingram, near Kerrville. Bishop Mike is a native of Hudson Falls, New York, but he spent much of his childhood in Fredericksburg and attended St. Mary’s School there.

Bishop Mike received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology and earned his master of divinity degree for ministry from the University of Notre Dame. He was awarded his doctorate of ministry in preaching and worship from the Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.

Father Mike was ordained Bishop on March 20, 2017, a year and a day from the anniversary of his priestly ordination on March 19, 1976, the Feast of St. Joseph. In addition to his administrative duties, Bishop Boulette is well-known throughout the archdiocese as a retreat presenter and parish mission speaker.
