A Conversation on the Richness of Pope Francis’ Exhortation Christus Vivit
The process of extensive worldwide consultations that began in January 2019 in preparation for the Synod of the Church on Young People, the Faith, and Vocational Discernment that would be held in Rome on October 2018, recently culminated in the publication of Pope Francis’ Exhortation Christus Vivit. In Christus Vivit, Pope Francis reminds us that youth and young adults are not only the future of the world but that they are the “now of God”. In Christus Vivit, the Pope invites all young people allow themselves to be moved by the special love that God has for them. It also demands from the Church to develop as a participatory and co-responsible institution, “capable of (…) gratefully accepting the contributions of (…) young people”. The richness and implications of such an important and exciting message will be explored under the guidance of Fr. Rodolfo Caballero.
