San Antonio’s first freestanding children’s hospital celebrates five-year anniversary with Fiesta

Against a backdrop of mariachi music, a Fiesta-themed celebration on April 20 marked the five-year anniversary of the official announcement that CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System would transform its downtown campus into The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, the city’s first freestanding academic hospital dedicated to the health and well-being of children. iVIVA FIESTA! and iVIVA The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio! celebrated the fact that hospital leadership stayed true to the promise made five years ago and delivered a world-class Hospital providing outstanding clinical care and academic research.
