Archbishop Gustavo-García-Siller, M.Sp.S.

 Most Reverend Gustavo-García-Siller, M.Sp.S.was named Archbishop of San Antonio by Pope Benedict XVI on October 14, 2010. Installed as Archbishop on November 23, 2010 at St. Mark the Evangelist Church in San Antonio, TX, he succeeded Archbishop José H.Gomez as the sixth Archbishop of San Antonio.

Bishop Thomas J. Flanagan, DD (Retired)

Retired Auxiliary Bishop Thomas J. Flanagan was born in Rathmore, County Kildare, Ireland on Oct. 23, 1930, to Patrick and Mary McNamara Flanagan, both deceased.  Bishop Flanagan is the oldest of eight children.  On June 10, 1956, he was ordained into the priesthood at the Cathedral of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Thurles, County Tipperary, Ireland.  He was ordained as monsignor in San Antonio Nov. 29, 1989, and as an auxiliary bishop in February 1998.

Archbishop Emeritus Patrick F. Flores, D.D.

Archbishop Emeritus Patrick F. Flores became the first Mexican American to rise to a high rank in the Roman Catholic Church in the United States.  When appointed archbishop of the Archdiocese of San Antonio, he became head of the largest province of dioceses in the country.  Throughout his life and career, he was greatly admired and well-liked, as he supported civil rights causes, actively helped the poor, and sought to bring together people and leaders of other faiths.
