The staff in the Office of the Archbishop's Appeal and Grants strive to facilitate the Appeal process for donors and parishes alike. The Office coordinates the direct mail program and oversees the In-Pew parish efforts. Each year, the Office produces the campaign's more than 500,000 pieces, including parish manuals, brochures, informational DVDs, bulletin inserts, and pledge envelopes, sending over 400,000 pieces of mail, and spending more than 3,000 man hours on data entry. In addition to producing written materials, the Office also plans meetings and special events, as well as provides speakers for parishes, schools, and other entities seeking to develop good stewardship practices.
In short, the Office is dedicated to providing the tools necessary to strengthen and grow the Church in the Archdiocese of San Antonio.

The Director of the Archbishop’s Appeal and Grants is the administrator responsible for the daily planning and implementation of the Archbishop’s Appeal. The Director maintains communication with Parish Pastors and Appeal Coordinators in order to ensure the appropriate and timely execution of the annual Appeal cycle and the administration of Appeal grants.

Paula K. Burch, Appeal Territory Coordinator
As the Appeal Territory Coordinator, Paula represents the Appeal across the Archdiocese’s 19 counties and 170 parishes. She works to ensure a strong relationship between each parish and the Appeal Office by providing training workshops for pastors and coordinators, as well as collecting program feedback. Paula, along with the rest of the Archbishop’s Appeal team, is dedicated to working together to strengthen the Appeal and truly serve the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
