The office of YAM supports, communicates, provides, and advocates ministry with YAs that...
- Helps them grow in relationship with God and knowledge of Church
- Fosters a sense of community and fellowship among YAs
- Provides outreach to "un-churched" YAs
- Creates awareness of YA wants and needs within the archdiocese
Key ways that YAM facilitates YA formation and development include
- Collaborating with the Young Adult Advisory Council (YAAC), an advisory YA team, that supports planning and direction.
- Providing Archdiocesan-wide gatherings to help address YA needs and support the formation and integration of YAs as part of church.
- Offering outreach and networking opportunities such as a Theology on Tap series, R.I.S.E.(Reach, Inspire, Search and Experience) speaker/YA discussion sessions and an annual YAM Fair.
- Providing a quarterly YAM newsletter
- Assisting in the development of YAM/YA groups in parishes and/or deanery.
- Providing leadership and YAM related workshops.
- Connecting with service opportunities
