CERTIFICATE IN YOUTH MINISTRY STUDIES
The Certificate in Youth Ministry Studies is a ministry training program for those in ministry with youth in both parish and school settings. It equips leaders with the practical tools and techniques needed for creative and comprehensive ministry with youth. This program has been designed for persons involved professionally or as volunteers with younger (10-14) or older (15-19) adolescents in a parish or school setting. The potential audience for the program includes: Coordinators of Youth Ministry, Directors of Religious Education, Youth Ministry Volunteer Leaders, High School Campus Ministers and Theology Teachers, and Clergy.

BASIC FORMATION IN CATHOLIC YOUTH MINISTRY
This is a 10-session course of 2 1/2 hour sessions designed for ADULTS involved in ministry to and with adolescents: Coordinators of Youth Ministry - volunteer or paid, full or part-time, Youth Ministry Volunteers, DREs/CREs, Pastors, Parochial Vicars, Pastoral Council Representatives, Parish Staff, CYO Sports Officers and Coaches, Choir Directors, Catechists, Scouting Leaders, etc. Each participant will develop a basic understanding of and the basic knowledge and skills necessary to implement a comprehensive youth ministry in the parish. This program is video-based and interactive. Because a minimum of ten participants is needed for each session, parish clusters and deaneries are encouraged to host this series of trainings.

"HOW TO" SESSIONS
This is a series of 2 hour sessions offered through the year throughout the deaneries that focus on practical applications of youth ministry and administration skills. Watch the Newsnotes for time, date, and topic.

NEEDS BASED TRAINING
Any parish youth ministry that would like formation in a specific area of youth ministry may call to arrange specialized trainings.

LIABILITY ISSUES FOR YOUTH MINISTRY
A session designed for parish or deanery youth ministry leadership, pastoral and finance councils, youth ministry volunteers, DREs and catechists that enables participants to feel more comfortable in ministry settings and to understand the consequences of ministry decisions. CYO COACHES CERTIFICATION
All CYO coaches are required to be certified in order to participate in the sports programming through the Office of Youth Ministry. This session provides a comprehensive approach to the ministry of coaching in the CYO sports program. Call for more information.

CONSULTATIONS The Office of Youth Ministry staff offers consultation in the hiring of Coordinators of Youth Ministry and the evaluation and organization of ministry to and with youth in a parish setting. Please call for more information
