Broadway’s modern classic, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ comes to life this spring at Antonian College Preparatory High School

Experience a colorful world of captivating illusions and beauty. Antonian College Preparatory High School invite you to step into the enchanted world of Broadway’s modern classic, Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” as it comes to life this spring presented by Antonian’s high school theater organization. Throughout the evening, guest will be treated to performances by the talented theatrical musical.

Making her ACP spring musical debut is Theater Director Hollie Martinez. She brings her Broadway experience to light and design as she has received her master’s of theater from the University of Houston with study at Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago and The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.

Under her direction is Daniel Garcia, musician and graphic artist, who has brought to life a colorful set. Monica Graham-Garcia serves as the choreographer and dance instructor and Elise Lopez as the vocal consultant. Lopez recently directed “Wizard of Oz” at the San Pedro Playhouse. The intricate costumes are designed by Kittensoft Creations.

The cast boasts a colorful resume as they recently competed and placed fifth overall at the TAPPS One Act Play state competition.

All proceeds from the shows will be applied towards providing future theatrical opportunities and activities for the Antonian College Preparatory Theater Club.

Performances will take place at Antonian College Preparatory High School at 6425 West Avenue on Thursday, April 9, at 7 p.m.; Friday, April 10, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, April 11, at 2 and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, April 12, at 3 p.m.
