Family Retreats
Tecaboca
Marianist Center for Spiritual Renewal
Eight to ten families (grandparents are welcome, too!) come together to form a Christ-centered community for a long, four day week-end during the summer, or a weekend during Advent. The Eucharist and other family liturgies are complemented by skits, presentations, family sharing, peer group discussions, and fun activities. All join in community tasks such as clean up after meals. Retreat themes focus on family life and spiritual development through affirmation, communication, forgiveness, and commitment. Tecaboca is 70 miles west of San Antonio on the river, in the beautiful hill country, near Mountain Home. Families also participate in camp activities such as canoeing, swimming, riflery, archery, cookouts and horseback riding.
